"Diane" is a solo-sketch comedy that incorporates North American sketch writing styles with the physical influences of clown, mime and commedia dell’arte. Over the course of the show, see a range of Dianes on their day-to-day; going from giving a friend distracted advice to improvising a spoken word poem to trying to get an audience member to propose to her. The show satirizes everyday life using polarizing genres all the whilst not being afraid to cross the line. Inspired by acts such as John Mulaney, Bob Fosse and Cirque du Soleil, Diane asks "why can't we mix cerebral writing with classical clown?". The Second City resident director Carly Heffernan described the show as "incredible...funny, smart, unique and wonderful!". Diane is written and performed by Laura Ramoso and directed by Canadian Comedy Award nominee and The Second City Toronto Mainstage Alum Devon Hyland.
