The Color Collective is a comedy variety show featuring diversity and inclusion in everything from music and dance to stand-up and sketch comedy. Winners of a 2018 Encore Award and a 2018 Audience Choice Award from Better Lemons, The Color Collective strives to be a show for all people, where we can tackle topics that typically aren’t (or can’t) be covered by others. Our goal is to make the audience laugh and see past our color or gender and to be sure that the point of view of minorities and women are always heard.

If "In Living Color" and "SNL" had a love-child, it’d be The Color Collective – a fast-paced hour-long sketch/variety show, highlighting diverse – and hilarious – players from a wide spectrum of cultural backgrounds. Our show isn’t just “about” diversity, though! We pride ourselves on putting together a team of stellar writers that dig deeper than racial stereotypes, actors who are at the top of their game, and a directing and producing staff that keeps the wheels constantly turning. No matter what color you are, you will see yourself represented on stage.

Cornbread Kitchen, also known as CBK, formed a comedic union Oct. 5 2017. Each member comes with diverse backgrounds in entertainment that includes improv, standup, theater, production, screenwriting, directing & sketch. The team formed from a sheer desire to play, create, & connect with peers in the Upright Citizens Brigade community. What began as a practice group/mash-up team quickly evolved into a deeper more meaningful group of talented artists who have formed a bond on and off stage. CBK is the collaborative brainchild of team lead and organizer, Megan Sousa & co-lead Kelvin Sherman which also features the talents of Nick Alexander, Imani Hayes, Anika Reitman, & Tarik Jackson. Since their first show The Pack Theater, CBK has gone on to perform at other prestigious comedy venues around Los Angeles such as Second City, The Nerdist, Upright Citizens Brigade main stages, The Clubhouse, Flappers Comedy Club & more. This Diverse Indie Team has developed a genuine chemistry that have left audiences in awe of the family like connection, big character risks, and at any given moment a song or dance break. Cornbread Kitchen now produces a variety comedy show combining sketch & improv, The Black Twitter Show at Upright Citizens Brigade Sunset. ($18, All Ages)
