Deep Night with Dale's World of Gems

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Step inside the weird reality of Deep Night with Dale’s World of Gems for an evening of comedy, music, and questionable wellness advice. Join Dale as he explains the healing properties of overly priced rocks while being interrupted by a bevy of surprise guests and comedy superstars including JoAnn Schinderle, Phoebe Bottoms, Andrew Orolfo, members of Kasper Hauser, and more. With animation by Leanne Rule and music from Zelma Stone. It’s kind of like what would happen if the GOOP Summit included stand-up sets and instead of Gwyneth Paltrow, the whole thing was run by a middle-aged man in a turtleneck who brews essential oils on a hot plate.

Deep Night with Dale’s World of Gems is hosted by Dale Seever. Dale’s unique, open-to-anything, wide-eyed perspective conveyed in his signature constrictive baritone, has earned him a cult-like following in New York and beyond. He is the host of the long-running comedy podcast, Deep Night with Dale (2009-present) and has been a featured recurring guest on the talk show "Running Late with Scott Rogowsky" and "The Special Without Brett Davis" on cable access. Dale is the alter ego of James Bewley, a Brooklyn-based comedian and writer whose work has been presented as part of SF Sketchfest, New York Comedy Festival, ANT Fest at Ars Nova, 208 Comedy Fest, Seattle Sketch Fest, and the Chicago Comedy Festival. Bewley trained at Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles and is a former member of the San Francisco sketch group, Killing My Lobster. ($20, All Ages)
