SF Sketchfest Tribute to Crispin Hellion Glover: In Person Performing his Big Slide Show part 1 + “What is it?” 15th Anniversary + In Conversation

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Join multifaceted American actor, publisher, filmmaker and author Crispin Hellion Glover live in person for an evening of conversation following a performance of "Crispin Hellion Glover's Big Slide Show part 1" and a 15th anniversary screening of his feature film "What is it?"

In "Crispin Hellion Glover's Big Slide Show part 1," Mr. Glover performs a one hour dramatic narration of eight different profusely illustrated books. The images from the books are projected behind Mr. Glover during his performance.

"What is it?" was the winner of Best Narrative Film at the Ann Arbor Film Festival and an Official Selection at the 2005 Sundance Film Festival.

"It's unlike anything I've ever seen before...the unrestrained id of an artist at full frenzy, unafraid to mount onscreen what others would judiciously edit out. Glover's film is like that of the fever dream of a crazy person." -- Dennis Dermody, Paper Magazine

“ABSOLUTELY the most uncompromising and original thing I've seen. People try to compare it to the likes of surrealist hero Luis Buñuel and trailblazer Werner Herzog, but I say Glover has transcended even them. " -- Kelly O, The Seattle Stranger Weekly

A limited number of VIP tickets including best seats and a post-show meet & greet / book-signing will be available.

Co-presented by SF IndieFest

($50 Orchestra - Front + post-show Meet & Greet, $25 Orchestra - Side/Rear and Balcony, Ages 18+ — Adult Content)
